It’s only February, but I think the mild winter we Midwesterners are experiencing has many of us thinking spring. And after seeing these cool new kicks, I’m definitely looking forward to trading my heavy boots for lighter footwear.

For several seasons now, pumps with a round or almond toe have been in vogue. However, as I perused my favorite fashion blogs over the weekend, I came across three consecutive photos of ladies wearing pointed toe heels.

Will the pointed toe make a comeback in 2012? (Yes, I really do ponder things like this.)

I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
