On Monday I was contacted by a new friend, Erika Dellatorre, about being UWeekly’s latest “Street Style” subject. I was flattered and a bit concerned.
She wanted to me to take the photo that would accompany the write-up ASAP. No time to primp! The photo above is the same one that was published; it was taken in Pearl Alley in downtown Columbus. (The windblown hair makes me laugh.)
Check out the UWeekly profile here. Great job, Erika! (Erika also blogs at TheFashionFace.com.)
In the photo, I’m wearing what I wore to the office that day. Since I work on the Internets, I don’t have to abide by a dress code, which might be my favorite thing about my job. Here’s the breakdown:
T-Shirt: HOMAGE (Best. Ts. Ever. Meticulously designed and super soft. Getcha one! Order online here or stop by the HOMAGE store in the Short North.)
Shorts: American Eagle (Yes, I sometimes shop there. Yes, I’m aware teenagers are its target consumers.)
Sandals: MICHAEL by Michael Kors (Five inches of fabulousness. They go with everything!)
Earrings: a gift (Pearl studs. Pearls bring light to the face.)
Necklaces: Urban Outfitters (They’re “M” initial necklaces. I wear two of them.)
Bracelets: vintage and borrowed from my mom (“Borrowed” meaning “taken from her jewelry box without her permission or knowledge.” Because I’m a wonderful daughter.)
Watch: Invicta (The story says it’s borrowed, but it’s not. It’s all mine. It retails for $695, but I paid much less for it.)
Ring: Claddagh Ring Store (You can’t see it in the photo, but I’m wearing a birthstone Claddagh ring on my right hand. I wear it every day…a nod to my Irish heritage.)
